4DESIGN worked closely with Auckland’s engineering school (robots division) to design & develop a ‘smart brace’ with embedded sensors to measure and monitor all knee movement. The data was then used in rehabilitation with physiotherapists. Use of emerging materials and processes were integrated to produce a light weight, strong and comfortable knee brace.
