The RaceRanger team chose 4DESIGN as their principal Design and Development partner. The product required innovative thinking to cram in the technology required while maintaining perfect performance that is demanded for this application.
The RaceRanger very accurately tracks and monitors distances of competitors during a race and actively provides real-time feedback to competitors, officials, and supporters all carried out at speed in challenging conditions, heat, rain and movement.
The RaceRanger was developed to improve fairness around the issue of drafting on the bike section of non-drafting triathlons. Non-drafting competitions make up approximately 85% of triathlon competitions globally.
World Triathlon has teamed up with RaceRanger for what is being billed as… ‘a new era in the development and advancement of the sport of triathlon, through a ground-breaking new triathlon specific anti-drafting technology.’
